The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (NAMA) is an encyclopedic museum where the power of art engages the spirit of community, and whose collection spans nearly every continent. Free admission gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy, appreciate, and understand the finest visual arts.
Along with architecture and urban design firm Cooper Robertson and digital design firm Blue Cadet, DVDL has produced cultural forecasts and recommendations. From here DVDL developed curatorial, content and visitor services strategies for the coming decades for the museum, as well as an outline of spatial implications and design suggestions to build the NAMA experience for its diverse audiences out further.
As a standout cultural institution for the Kansas City community, DVDL is dedicated to making the most effective long term plan for shifting NAMA to better adapt to evolving museum experiences.
